The Mud
I live in Wales. It rains a lot here! The Green Man festival handles rain brilliantly now, but it hasn't always (although it's never ruined the fun). Here are some pictures of the mud from various years.
The mudiest years were 2007, 2008 and 2012, so most of these pictures are from then.
2012 was a classic year for mud! The plans for dealing with it didn't quick work though. Bark was added, and it just floated on top. People couldn't tell how deep it was an regularly stepped in over their wellies...
Luckily there were also plastic paths in place which worked brilliantly...
The mud does look kind of beautiful in the sun...
And does make the site look completely different...
The mud in front of the stages (here it's the walled garden) was particular messy this year...

2007
In 2007 we made the schoolboy error of camping right next to the path. Luckily the mud didn't quite make it to our tent. Our daughter was three and ended up like this person...
2008
On reflection, 2008 doesn't actually look that bad. I think this is probably actually because I didn't have much of camera with me...
